Lung Cancer Overview

Lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer-related death in the US. Broadly, lung cancers can mostly be categorized as small cell lung cancer (SCLC) or non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Lung cancer has a number of risk factors, including smoking, family history, radon (radiation exposure), and asbestos. Metastases from lung cancer typically go to several locations: the liver, bone, adrenal glands, and brain.
